Iphone pics, Dad day and 20!

These photos are so random.

Last week, Anika and I went over to my friend's place for dinner. She made chili and other yummy things.  It is this screened in area she stays in the summer. There is a toilet, but its in the bedroom. Like, not a separate room. My friend lives there alone. Anika of course had to take a shit in the bedroom toilet before she could leave. ha.

Anika had chocolate on her and I asked her what she ate and she tried to play dumb. ha.
I have been making a LOT of truffles for an upcoming bridal shower.  Ive had a LOT of test runs because I am really bad at dipping in melting chocolate.

Andrew wanted to get Anika a bike. We wanted this red one, but it was too big at 16"
and the ONLY 12" bike was pink. Of course. And we don't live in an area with lots of stores, so we settled on this one. Anika loved it of course. Doesn't look it in this photo, but she would NOT get off the bike in the store so I pulled her around on it. haha.

Ani made this tie for Andrew at the library last week (For Father's Day).  Andrew wears ties for weddings and funerals, so I thought it was funny, but cute of course :)

Anika riding her bike. Except, she told us it needed gas and wouldn't go :) Andrew worked with her on how to get it to go!
Father's Day, I made salmon eggs benedict. Anika picked out a card for Andrew. I gave him a sweet one. And, she made him some crafts. And gave him a small thing to make seedlings with her (save that for next spring).  Oh and I got him a $8 meat thermometer. HA. homemade gifts, cards and that little gift,  and he said he was spoiled. I wish I was that easy to please!

She finger painted this fish for him. In my house last Thursday!  Finger painting inside took a lot of breathing on my part! We would have gone outside, but it was raining and I had promised her already. She remembers when I tell her we will do something, so I have to follow through.

I spent some time organizing in my basement and Anika likes to pull out the baby stuff. She still fits in this infant seat! ha.

These binders and expanding folders are all from my pregnancy with Anika and her first year.  Mostly, pregnancy though. Yup- I did that much research! haha. there is stuff on car seats, cribs, nursery, names, hypnobirhting, car seat safety class, breastfeeding, cpr, registry info, - you name it, its in there.  All tabs and all. WOW! I don't even have a FOLDER for this new baby! haha. I guess I know everything now :)

I haven't been juicing as much as I used to, but we had some rhubarb from the garden and I had no idea what else to use it for, so I let Anika juice it and then add what she wanted. It came out pretty good.

This hand made wood clothes drying rack got all moldy from being outside, so Andrew is painting it with any spray paint he finds in our basement...like almost finished cans that he doesn't  want to waste...ya...this is what its looking like so far. haha.

TWO of my nails are growing! ha, pregnancy nails.  usually they are all stubs, so a little length is a lot for me.

playing Legos.

This is for Anika. I tried it and its the grossest thing Ive ever put in my mouth. I cant believe she will eat it. I want her to eat it, but wow. gross.

I have been putting this organic miso on my toast or English muffin like its vegemite! NOT its intended purpose but I am not making a lot of miso soup. I make a salad dressing with it and now on my toast and I think it gives a nice kick.  My go to breakfast is an organic English muffin with coconut oil, a thin layer of this, capers, onion, tomatoes and smoked salmon. YUM!

I am 20 WEEKS!  MY FIRST day wearing maternity clothes. Pants and shirt. I have been wearing a lot of  dresses

At my appointment, my midwife has a book with the baby at each week and the baby is attached to the big pages of the book with Velcro so you can take it out. I took it out for the 20 week baby and put it on my belly. They are ACTUAL size diagrams. The baby is sitting low- lower than my belly button, but this is the size.

The picture of me in blue is closer to 19 weeks than 20, I think. but, I'm sure not a lot changed in a week.

Time just slips away. 19 Weeks

Thanks for the feedback on my baby name post!! I appreciate it. I tried to write back to some, but your email was no-reply.

I cant believe it was TWO years ago I took this photo shoot of Miss Anika for Father's Day!
I took about 100 photos one night after work. Some for my dad (Her Gampa) and some for Andrew. I framed them for Father's day.  This year, I have NO Idea what I am doing!!  If you have seen any EASY ideas on Pinterest or something, please let me know! I need to whip something up ASAP for Andrew. He doesn't want a big gift (Aka for me to spend money), so something homemade would be perfect.

19 Weeks with this ....gosh, I was calling it Pippa because I was never going to use the name in real life, but now we might!! I don't know what to call it. Sweaty right after a gym class in the pic. They have a good full length mirror.
Time is going by pretty fast.  We have lots to keep us busy. I need to pull out some maternity clothes! I got an awesome new dress from Dee and I will post a photo of me in it soon!

The two pictures below are 19 weeks with Anika/ Guzzi :)  I look bigger, but I wasn't, so these photos actually show nothing. They are too up close. ha

What was wrong with me?? Look at my mirror?  I didnt even have a kid yet and my mirror is NASTY in all the belly pictures pregnant with Anika. It never looks like that now :) I am spreading out just like I did with Anika- all up and down my belly and across. NO cute little basketball belly for me!! I spread across and up with both. I wonder if this means another girl...or if this is just how I do pregnancies.

I ran this morning for a bit. Not that long. Still feeling good. Same ole, same ole.  I have been eating like a pig.
For example, Anika and I ate this huge plate of nachos at Market Square day in Portsmouth this weekend! haha. I never get nachos, but nothing else on the menu looked good.

I have no idea why these photos are loading all weird. Ugh.

Then, we walked around a lot more and had ice cream.  We actually walked miles that day, but we ate a lot too :)

We left Portsmouth around 5:30 and drove up home, but then I got caught in bike week traffic and then decided I didn't want to head BACK down south on Sunday, so took Anika grocery shopping at 8 PM! ha. I was tired and she was tired, but we made it and got home around 9.  Long day, but totally worth it.

Sunday, all 3 of us headed down to the river to meet up with some friends. Anika was the only kid most of the time, but she had a blast. She kept the adults entertained, that's for sure!!

Andrew leaves notes for Anika when he goes to work.  She loves them. On Monday, she read her note (I read it to her) and she immediately asked to write back.  This girl just LOVES her daddy.
On Saturday when we got home from being gone all day, I was putting food away and heard her tell Andrew out of the blue, "Daddy, you my best friend'  He was obviously touched and she has him WRAPPED!  She says things like that to me when she wants something, but rarely just because. Their love for each other could just make me cry. Last Friday, she woke up and was jumping on my bed "Its Friday!!! Daddy come home today!"   Melts my heart.

She is 26 months old and just as fun as could be. She has her moments, but what toddler doesn't :)
I do want to start video taping her more. We actually need a hidden camera for our family dinners. OH wow- she tells us some stories!  I know she wont do that if she knows a camera is on her. Sometimes I bring my phone to the table in case Andrew calls or when he is home, so I can video her, but as soon as she sees the phone on the table "Mummy, NO Phones at dinner table!"  and then calls me naughty. Geeze.

Name Game and Help with Reader!

Oh man, I have been out of the loop again. Its been a while since my last post.

I am now 18 weeks pregnant. As of last week, I was up 4 pounds.
This week, I am up 6, but I had a big food week :)   I need to get back on track with food.  I am still spinning, running a little and doing Tuesday night Tabata/boot camp class.

We are not finding out the gender. Of course I want to, but Andrew doesn't and I am such a nice wife.
If this baby is a boy, we will name him what Anika would have been as a boy:
Lennox Thomas.  Lennox after Andrew's dad's first name and Thomas is my dad's middle name.

If this baby is a girl (Which, I think it is) we ARE Screwed.
For those of you around last time, Anika wasn't named for a few days and Anika was a total compromise name.

Andrew wanted Pippa then, and he wants Pippa now.
I am OKAY with this name, I guess, but I need a full name for it. Pippa can be a nickname, but I need a REAL name- like for a resume and stuff. The most common full name for Pippa is Phillipa. No. I don't like that.
I wish I was still a good blogger, so I could get feedback. I know SOME people still read here, so please give me your input :)  I got a lot of feedback when I was pregnant with Anika.  Any suggestions?
I still love the names Ivy and Adele.  Andrew does not.
A compromise name would be Josephine, after Andrew's Gran.

Help a fellow shitty blogger out, ok? Thanks! ha

Next up-  GOOGLE READERS IS GOING away SOON!!
Over the past 5 years, I have added 200+ blogs in reader. I don't read them all  daily, but I like scrolling through reader when I get the time.  I will never know how to find blogs I have been reading for the past 5  years without reader. What can I do? What is everyone else doing?
Thanks in advance for the help!

And, what is a post without photos...here are some from this past weekend at my parent's camp :)

Pregnancy update and Weekend

Oops, I did it again. Its been 11 days since my last post! I am the worse blogger ever!
Last week, I took this photo when I was 15 weeks.

Now, I am 16 weeks.
I had a midwife appointment yesterday and heard the heart beat for the first time. I heard/saw Anika at about 10 weeks, so this is a different experience for me.  The baby actually kicked and we heard it and I felt it, but I had no idea that feeling was kicks! ha.  You would think I would know what kicks feel like after doing this before.  So, baby has been kicking! so neat.
We are not finding out the gender so I don't even know if I will have an ultrasound for this pregnancy.  I would like to know the gender, but Andrew really did not want to find out with Anika, and I did. Now, he really doesn't want to know this time since it is our last. I am not doing another nursery and I feel I can let it be a surprise this time.  If its a boy, I'm sure my mom will rush right out and get us some boy clothes, so I am not worried. I do need a few baby things, but I already have gender neutral items picked out anyway.

We got our first congrats on new baby card.  People don't seem to be as excited when its your second child. That is ok. I haven't even announced on Facebook yet.  We have been telling people the old fashion way when we see them.

I just realized, I don't even think I did a mothers day post!! Oh my.  Well, it was fabulous. haha.
We spent a lot of it furniture shopping. We ordered a nice new couch and love seat. I cant WAIT for them to arrive!!! We are trying to retrain Piri not to get on the couches. Um, ya, that is not going so well. I am afraid her claws will ruin our new leather though.

This past weekend, we had a party on Friday night.  We got home at 10:30!! late night for Miss Anika, but she had a blast.  Then, we had a Birthday party on Saturday for her friend Fi. It was at a bouncy play place. SHE had so much fun.  I was having a hard time getting pants to button, so I opted for a dress. Andrew said the leggings looked funny with the dress, so I didn't wear leggings. Then, I couldn't go in bounce houses with Anika. Luckily, Andrew had pants on :)

She was having so much fun and keeps talking about this mushroom.

After, the bouncy house, we went back to Fi's house for lunch, cake and more play time!! Anika tried to open all of Fi's presents!

She was trying to put rocks from outside in my indoor plants. Caught ya!

Oh, these are from the indoor bouncy place.  She was scaling that thing like a Mt. climber!
I said she was ready for Mt. Everest.  Sir Edmund Hillary was the very first person to climb Mt. Everest and he is a Kiwi (New Zealander). My parents and some other friends think Andrew looks like Hillary and he is his long lost father or uncle! haha. Google Edmund Hillary and you be the judge. Its kind of a joke, but I had to make the reference.

On Sunday, Andrew needed to stay home and get our lawns and gardens sorted out.  He is so good at all that stuff.  Anika and I left home early and had lots to do!!
We went to the southern part of the state (one town away from MA) and picked up some bar stools we had ordered. It is about an hour, 20 minutes from our house. Went to a big Target and a big mall. We got a new floor lamp and a curtain rod to hang curtains in our living room! Mommy got some new BB cream at Sephora!!  I have always used Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer (for about 10 years), but I want to try this BB cream I hear about. I will let you know what I think.  I got a belly band at the maternity store. I never had one with Anika.
We also went to Trader Joe's while down there.
THEN, we got back in the car and drove another 20 minutes south (MA) to attend a birthday party for Addison.  AND THERE WERE more bouncy houses!! Anika was in heaven.

A little one and big one. She liked the big.

And she drove this little car.  She could BARELY reach the pedal but if she sat all the way up, she could. She loved it and said "Daddy, I want one"  haha. Daddy wasn't even there, but I did say, let me take a picture for daddy.

This time, I had on leggings, so I went in there with her if she asked. She kept telling me she was bouncing with her friends. She just met these kids! ha.
At one point, I looked at her and she had blood in her mouth. I asked her to come out and I saw a big bite out of her tongue. She wasn't phased at ALL!! And would not stop bouncing.

Oh, DID I MENTION, ANIKA WORE KNICKERS ALL WEEKEND!! YUP- Even on all the long car rides!!! I had to get her out of the bouncy house to go at times, but she went in the house, Peed, and went back out to play.  I am SO proud of her. And proud of me for giving her the chance because I do NOT want to clean my car seat.  She did get to pee in a parking lot at one point because there was no bathroom. Now, she keeps talking about peeing outside. Last night we were in the house and she asked to go pee outside, and she did! On my porch. Then used water to clean it off. seriously.

Piñata time!!

I asked Anika if she knew what was in the piñata and she said, toys!
I said hmm, I don't know.
It was candy. When someone finally broke it open, she went in and grabbed one piece of candy. ANd gave it to me. Then, someone handed her a couple bags of skittles.
here she is having them and me trying to limit them. haha

We left around 4 and We got home around 5:30 and daddy was making dinner.  And, Anika was OFF.THE.WALL!
Andrew loves it when she is super hyper because she is pretty silly too.

On the right is our old ugly bar stool- we had 2.
And the left is our new one. The counter is a mess because we were barely home all weekend- just enough time to make a mess.

We should have gotten 3, but we only got 2 because of her tower. And, we don't plan on staying in this house for a lot longer, so this tower will be here for our remaining time here, I am sure, between Anika and new child.
Hopefully I can post our new living room soon. I meant to get before pictures, but we already rearranged some of it.  Buying bar stools, couches, curtains is big for us. haha. We have been here 4 years, but  neither one of us likes to decorate. Well, or spend money on it! ha.
